With just a few pieces of information about a vehicle, Flipturn Assess will give you a detailed overview of suitable electric vehicle replacements, total cost of ownership, necessary charging infrastructure, incentive amounts, and more.
While EVs can be more expensive to purchase or lease than internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, the total cost of ownership is often lower than ICE vehicles due to savings on fuel and maintenance. We’ve described how electric cargo vans can be less expensive to operate than gas-powered cargo vans; Flipturn Assess lets you input your data to see exactly how much you could save, specific to your fleet.

What’s included in a vehicle assessment?
Flipturn Assess can provide an electrification snapshot for any vehicle in your fleet.
Browse the EVs that are suitable for your vehicle’s duty cycle and local climate. Many fleets hesitate to try EVs because of concerns around range, so Flipturn Assess takes into account local temperature when identifying compatible vehicles and recommended chargers. We’ll let you know when the local climate may affect the range of your selected EV and by how much.
Understand total cost of ownership, and dive into the details. Electric vehicles are often more expensive to purchase, but are less expensive to operate than ICE vehicles. Our assessment will describe how much you should expect to save on fuel and maintenance, and at what point in the vehicle’s lifetime you will break even compared to operating a gas or diesel powered vehicle. If you know your current vehicle’s maintenance and per-gallon fuel costs, Flipturn Assess lets you plug in those custom numbers to make your assessment even more accurate.
Identify necessary charging infrastructure. There are hundreds of EV charger models available on the market, ranging in price from a few hundred dollars to hundreds of thousands. Flipturn Assess will use information about your vehicles’ dwell times and energy needs to recommend a minimum charger power rating and approximate cost.

Flipturn Assess will report how much you could qualify for in government incentives through the Inflation Reduction Act’s Federal Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit and California HVIP.
